Hello to anyone who is actually reading this!
An erotic art show, accompanied by live music, will take place on Valentine's Day 2025 in Jonesboro, AR, with Something Gallery helping to organize the event.
This will be at Something Gallery at 101 S.Church St. in Jonesboro. Music starts at 8pm and there will be a $10 cover at the door.
This is the piece I will be submitting:
"Rita Still Has It"

Mixed media collage
11x14
I haven't made something new in quite a while so this upcoming show was a nice push to get me creating again. Also, OASIS Arts & Eats Festival is coming up in April and I need to get on the ball making new pieces for that.
I've been letting everyday life and other things get in the way of creating art. After I stray from it, I realize I really do love making art and it makes me happy and I should not stop doing it.
Also, I'm going to delete my Facebook accounts and possibly Instagram soon. As I've said before, I absolutely loathe social media. Everyone says you HAVE to have several social media accounts to be anything meaningful. As in, being able to sell anything. And I've realized over the past few months, I don't want to create art just to sell it. I want it to be meaningful and beautiful and to give myself happiness. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to sell things. We do live in a capitalistic society where money is important ( a little too important if you ask me.) But making art just to sell it defeats the purpose of it's existence. I don't want to create soulless art. I personally felt like I was heading in that direction.
After expressing all of that, I do realize the hypocrisy of having my art for sale. But I do have to try to sale some of it because it is one way I earn money along with small part time jobs. Also, it can take up space, a lot of space! And I need more room to create pieces, especially bigger ones!
Gotta run and do everyday life things now.
Thanks for reading!
