Bio

Angela Castro is a fine artist residing in Jonesboro, AR. She primarily utilizes acrylic paint and ink on canvas, creating vibrant works featuring succulents and florals against dark backgrounds. This striking contrast invites viewers to immerse themselves in her art, offering an escape from reality, much like the experience she finds while painting. For Angela, art serves as a therapeutic outlet that helps her manage anxiety and depression.

Castro holds a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from Northeastern State University and has pursued fine art and art education courses at Arkansas State University. She has been a featured artist at The Rec Room in Jonesboro and has exhibited her work at various festivals, including FOA’s OASIS and Newport’s Delta Arts Festival. Currently, Angela teaches a visual art class for tweens on Tuesday evenings at the FOA.
