Bio
Angela Castro is a fine artist currently living in Jonesboro, AR. She works predominantly with acrylic paint and ink on canvas. Her work consists of colorful succulents and florals often set against dark backgrounds. Angela creates this contrast to pull the viewer into her paintings. It’s a way to escape from reality as she does while she paints. To her, painting is therapeutic and helps her cope with anxiety and depression.
Angela earned her Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from Northeastern State University in 2005. She had a painting accepted into the Bradbury Art Museum’s “Alliance” juried show in 2022. She has participated in local festivals including OASIS, Downtown Jonesboro Alliance’s Joy Fest, and shows involving the NEA Artist Collective.
